Chinese pre-folds are 100 % cotton and are the softest, most absorbent pre-fold diapers available on the market. These diapers are meant to withstand hundreds of washings.

When you receive your pre-folds they will seem flat and thin, they must be washed several times so that they fluff up and become absorbent. They will actually get more absorbent the more they are washed.

Natural diapers need to be washed at least 4 times before use to eliminate the natural oils. Do not wash them with other diapers, especially diapers with fleece, for the initial washings. Once the prefolds have been prepped they may be washed in your regular diaper load.

If you experience any staining with your prefolds it is recommended that you lay them out in the sun to dry. The sun works as a natural bleaching agent to remove organic stains. We do not recommend bleaching cloth diapers but some people have had success with an oxygen bleach (such as OxyClean).
